The Track

The track makes up phase 4 which could be run in parallel to phase 3, and will be the most costly phase and requires most volunteer input if costs are to be kept down. We have been offered support from a number of heritage railways and will look to timetabling this work with expert input to ensure a realistic timeframe and to ensure we can raise funds for the operation.  

Timeframe for this work is 24 months and a projected cost is £200,000.  AVCR has set up the legal structure to be able to make a community share offer and it is anticipated a major offer will be used for this phase of the project. This will be undertaken over a 6-8 month timeframe and will be supported by Development Trust Associations Scotland(DTAS).  Further information about the share offer will be available in due course.
