We would like to congratulate James Gordon on receiving his recent MBE. James was one of the founders of the Original Alford Valley Railway narrow gauge line.
After many years with the railway in September 2001 A new build outline steam locomotive was purchased from Alan Keef Limited, by Alford Valley Railway, and the members of the railway at the time made the decision in secret to Name the new Locomotive after James Gordon.
